A Go Green Energy Conference was held in Frederick, Maryland on June 29, 2009 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The free community service event was hosted by Rep. Roscoe Bartlett  in conjunction with The e-ventplex at the Frederick Fairgrounds, Frederick County Office of Economic Development and the Frederick City Department of Economic Development, Washington County Economic Development Commission, and the Carroll County Department of Economic Development.

 

In one of the keynote addresses, Congressman Roscoe Bartlett welcomed more than a thousand attendees by saying, “This free Go Green Energy Conference is designed to help you learn how to make every day Earth Day.  More than 500 people are registered to attend and see 85 indoor exhibitors, 18 outdoor exhibitors and learn from two dozen experts who will be speaking.  Homeowners, farmers and small business owners will discover practical ways you can save money, use less energy and go green on any size budget.  This event is free for exhibitors, free for attendees with free parking. Food will be available for sale throughout the day as fundraisers by local Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H clubs.”
